WINTER 2014
So I don't know if it was because it was more accessible, or I just got much better at finding new stuff, but man 2014 was a great year for some awesome new music. Unlike 2008, which saw a huge renaissance for great new folk bands, 2014 was more of a renaissance of great music genres across the last 5 decades. Everything seems new again (like Kelis' new retro soul sound) and helped make what I think is the best Singles Mixer yet. Its also why the mix got extended to 4 discs that you will enjoy listening to the whole way through.
With new music accounting for most of this mix, I decided to add another way to enjoy all this great music with the addition of the youtube playlist. Some great songs I discovered this year were because of their epic music videos (especially CAZETTE's Sleepless) and wanted to provide the same method of discover to anyone else. I will say that some songs weren't available and others didin't have music videos, so you'll see some live stuff and other things that you wouldn't hear otherwise. Its still fun all the same.
So choose your listening/watching preference and enjoy discovering some truly great music that I've enjoyed pulling together over the last 6-8 months.
